On July 14, 2023, in Singapore, Surbana Jurong Group and Kim Oanh Group signed a strategic partnership to develop real estate projects invested by Kim Oanh Group. This is a new milestone in Kim Oanh Group’s journey of more than 15 years of development.

Under the agreement, Kim Oanh Group and Surbana Jurong will cooperate to develop a series of residential real estate projects, resort real estate and office buildings in the southern region. In particular, Surbana Jurong will be responsible for urban planning and architectural consultancy for projects that Kim Oanh Group is about to implement.

With extensive experience in the field of real estate and orientation to become a multidisciplinary investment group, Kim Oanh Group is actively looking for foreign partners to jointly develop large-scale real estate projects with outstanding quality. And the cooperation with Surbana Jurong is considered a breakthrough step of Kim Oanh Group in a new stage of development.

The cooperation of the two corporations is expected to contribute to enhancing the living experience of Vietnamese people, especially residents in “Singapore-standard” social housing projects developed by Kim Oanh Group. This not only marks an important milestone in the journey of creating settlement, bringing better values to the community of both Kim Oanh Group and Surbana Jurong, but also contributes to the development of urban infrastructure in Vietnam and enhances the position of Vietnam’s real estate industry in the international market.

Previously, in order to develop more fields such as education, healthcare, tourism, resort real estate and trade – services…, Kim Oanh Group also signed strategic cooperation agreements with many large corporations such as Frasers Property, Mapple Bear and especially Sumitomo Forestry Group of Japan.

Pioneering the development of “Singapore-standard” social housing

Kim Oanh Group currently owns a land bank of about 500 hectares in vibrant development areas such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Phu Quoc (Kien Giang). These are all key projects in many different market segments.

In particular, responding to the Government’s project to build 1 million affordable houses and social housing to support workers in localities to have more favorable living conditions, besides commercial projects, Kim Oanh Group is paying a lot of attention and prioritizing resources to develop social housing projects. Particularly in phase 1, Kim Oanh Group plans to develop 25,000 low-rise and high-rise social housing products in Binh Duong and Dong Nai, two vibrant industrial “capitals” and huge demand for housing of workers.

Mrs. Dang Thi Kim Oanh said that the Group is very dedicated to creating a new line of social housing products with reasonable prices, easy to own but still ensuring good quality and sustainability, providing a green, clean, safe and fully equipped living environment similar to commercial housing projects. These projects do not focus on profit but show the social responsibility of enterprises, the desire to contribute to localities to take care of people’s accommodation.

With that vision, Kim Oanh Group has consulted many countries around the world and is completely convinced when approaching Singapore’s social housing model. Currently, about 85% of Singapore’s nearly 6 million people live in social housing apartments. And Surbana Jurong is a corporation that has contributed a lot to the development of Singapore when building more than 80% of social housing in the Lion island nation.

Mrs. Kim Oanh added that, besides commercial projects, the signing of a strategic cooperation with Surbana Jurong also helps Kim Oanh Group pioneer in the strategy of developing “Singapore-standard” social housing in Vietnam. This product line will meet all 3 criteria “Practical – Humane and Sustainable”. In particular, the first project is expected to be announced to the market right in Q3.

 According to Mrs. Oanh, Kim Oanh Group has researched and distilled the outstanding advantages of Surbana Jurong’s social housing model such as modern architecture, high aesthetics, optimizing usability, skillful green array… to apply to the Group’s projects preparing for implementation.
