I remember the saying of Mrs. Dang Thi Kim Oanh, the head of Kim Oanh Real Estate Group, and also the person with the highest responsibility of the Charity Foundation bearing her name: “Everyone will die once, I will die with kindness”.
True to her words, for more than 13 years, that kindness has always been nurtured by her and spread everywhere, where there are weak people, where there are many unfortunate children. Regardless of the circumstances, that kindness and sincerity is always evident in the way she and her colleagues bring to the community.
Not afraid of difficulties
Perhaps many people will think that Mrs Kim Oanh comes from a rich and noble family in Hue, but no, it is quite the opposite of that thought. In her girlhood, she used to trade in different jobs in markets and sidewalks to earn every penny to support her family and support her family. That life went through more than a decade and was more difficult when she got married and had 5 children. Very messy, worried.
But with the will of her and her husband, Mr. Nguyen Thuan – Vice Chairman of the Group, they made a difference! From a small roadside merchant to the head of a well-known real estate group in the market today, it is not easy at all.
Looking back on Kim Oanh's hard life, she can see how she understood the poor, what they needed and the plan to escape poverty and impasse she came up with. From social security programs such as donating cows, building charity houses, building bridges, she and her Charity Foundation partners also come up with sustainable solutions to help the community overcome difficulties.
“Everyone will die once, then I will die with kindness”, perhaps this quote will describe all that she did, which was the enthusiasm for the COVID-19 epidemic in 2021. At a time when Saigon, Binh Duong, and Dong Nai are the three localities with high levels of infection and the death rate is constantly increasing. Knowing it was dangerous, Kim Oanh's volunteer blue shirts still supported the front line day and night, helping F0 get through the death gate.
According to Ms. Kim Oanh, nearly VND 90 billion is the amount that she has to borrow to buy medical supplies and medicines imported from abroad to donate to hospitals in the aforementioned provinces. As a result, the government's fight against COVID-19 relieves pressure with the companionship of businesses and individuals.
To date, the epidemic is controlled, but the consequences are too great. Many families cannot see each other for the last time when the distance is only a few meters. I lost my father, my wife lost my husband, and grief abounded. More tragically, thousands of children have been left orphaned with no one to rely on.
From a mother of 5 children, Mrs. Kim Oanh has now become the largest mother in the Group. She sponsored 40 children disadvantaged by COVID-19 from the program “Godmother – sharing love” launched by the Vietnam Women's Union in early 2022. Help them have spiritual support, and above all, overcome loss to move on with life.
Having witnessed the sight of the mother-daughter ventilator in the field hospital to the image of the children being orphaned for the second time has made her and Kim Oanh Charitable Foundation heavier with the Godmother, heavier with the work for the development of children.
Therefore, in addition to committing financial support within 5 years for 40 cases, the Charity Foundation also wants to do more. In the coming time, Kim Oanh Charity Foundation will organize more skills education activities, emotional support so that all children can develop safely and comprehensively.
Difficulties remain fulfilled
2022 has been a tumultuous and harsh year for everyone from life to the economy. There are more than 41,000 workers in different fields such as textiles, components, fisheries … lost jobs due to businesses losing orders at the end of the year when major markets cut consumer demand; difficulties in raw materials, rising costs and fluctuations from the world situation.
Along with that, the real estate industry is also under significant pressure on the market, facing many difficulties in accessing capital and strict control of the credit market, issuing bonds and stocks today. Cutting operating costs, maximizing savings is what Kim Oanh Group is doing at the moment. However, the mind and love are still put on top by the President of the Group.
Not only struggling to find ways to remove difficulties for businesses, Ms. Kim Oanh also takes care of employees and employees who are struggling. From words of encouragement, small gifts to simple but nutritious lunches cooked by her own hands. Having said that, few presidents sweat cooking hundreds of employees as regularly as she does in the midst of a hundred things in front of her—Reporter
Market fluctuations and difficulties remain for businesses, but with community activities, Kim Oanh Group is always present and actively contributing, sharing with the people.
According to preliminary statistics, in 2022, Kim Oanh Charity Foundation has traveled to 26 provinces and cities across the country and carried out many meaningful community projects such as building dispensaries, schools, building charity houses, Great Solidarity houses, awarding scholarships,… and signed a new contract with a total budget of nearly 40 billion VND.
Along with that, Kim Oanh Charity Fund also accompanies and contributes to programs launched by the Central Government such as: Poor Fund (VND 10 billion), Vietnam Women's Union (VND 2.5 billion, Godmother), Central Team Council (VND 960 million, donated 12 Red Scarf houses), Vietnam Children's Fund (VND 11.5 billion in 5 years, from 2018 – 2022).
In addition, every year, Kim Oanh Charity Foundation cooperates with the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, For the beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa to the forest and the sea to award thousands of scholarships to disadvantaged students, motivating them to go to school across the country. Mobilize staff to contribute to the construction of a Navy reading room and two Team houses in Spratly Island.
According to Mrs. Kim Oanh, at the end of the year, businesses are more difficult, people are more difficult. If everyone were for that reason, what would the people be like? “I am willing to borrow to implement programs that are useful and help people in need, I will do it. It's okay to think it's simple, it's hard, it's okay to be a little harder, and I hope next year the market prospers again, I will sell products to pay off debts” – Mrs. Kim Oanh bluntly.
Therefore, the Tet gift giving program, building a volunteer house in 2023 is directed by her to be planned to be implemented in 5 provinces, Dong Nai City, Binh Duong, Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and Thua Thien Hue province with 7,500 gifts with a total cost of nearly 7 billion VND in just a few days after the initial decision.
The gifts for low-lying workers, the poor and workers who lost their jobs at this time will probably be very meaningful spiritual gifts for them, in the days leading up to the traditional New Year.
