On March 2, the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province informed that the locality is coordinating with Binh Phuoc province to implement a plan to cooperate in implementing key traffic projects including Ho Chi Minh City expressway – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh and the main traffic connection points between these two localities.
The aforementioned expressway starts from Go Dua interchange, goes along Provincial Highway 43 (in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) about 800m, then turn right along DT743B; Tel.743A; DT.747B arrives in front of Khanh Van bridge, the route turns left to separate from the current road and follow Suoi Cai and parallel to DH409 road. The route intersects DT747A at the junction of Green Gate, then goes parallel to DT741 to An Long commune, Phu Dao district (Binh Duong) and then goes directly to the North bordering the East of Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park to intersect National Highway 14 in Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc).
To implement the project, Binh Duong province proposes Binh Phuoc province to agree on the investment plan as follows: In phase 1, the section from Khanh Van bridge (Binh Duong) to Binh Phuoc province is 45.6km long with a total investment of about VND 17,300 billion, invested in the form of PPP. Construction is expected and completed in 2026. Phase 2, upgrading from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, implementing a number of technical solutions such as building overpasses, underpasses, branch roads.
For the main traffic connection points between 2 provinces of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc, including: Ho Chi Minh route; National Route 13; Highway 13C; North Tan Uyen – Phu Dao – Bau Bang route… Binh Duong proposes that the two localities continue to coordinate the implementation.
For the route west of National Highway 13, Binh Duong proposed Binh Phuoc to unify the planning scale in each province, in order to reserve land fund for transport infrastructure development later.
Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Minh said, Ho Chi Minh City Expressway– Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh and the main traffic connection points between 2 provinces of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc are key routes not only of Binh Duong but also connecting the southern key economic region, opening up new development space for the whole region. Therefore, Mr. Minh proposed that Binh Phuoc pay special attention to coordination to implement projects effectively and on schedule.
On the side of Binh Phuoc province, Mrs. Tran Tue Hien – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee said that she would report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Committee and the Provincial People’s Council to consider the capital allocation of the Ho Chi Minh City expressway. Ho Chi Minh City – Thu Dau Mot – Chon Thanh passes through Binh Phuoc province with a length of 7km, which will be invested by Binh Phuoc province in the form of public investment, with a total capital of clearance, compensation and construction and installation of about VND 1,500 billion. Ms. Hien also said that Binh Phuoc will actively coordinate with Binh Duong in implementing key and breakthrough traffic projects.
