“Lunar New Year Giap Thin – Sharing Journey” lasted 4 days (24/1 – 27/1) through 5 provinces, Binh Phuoc, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak and Quang Ngai with thousands of gifts were handed over to poor, disadvantaged people and ethnic children in remote localities, remote areas.
On 27/1, the charity journey of Kim Oanh Charity Foundation accompanied by Ho Chi Minh City Police Newspaper, singer Duong Ngoc Thai and friends ended at the end of Quang Ngai with hundreds of gifts of necessities, milk, rice and Tet envelopes for children.
In the chilly atmosphere of the days bordering Tet, a large number of people in localities could not help but be surprised when a delegation came to wish Tet and give gifts during the spring of Giap Thin. Many relatives said they were happy to hear the singer sing and receive gifts to take home.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Lien – Communications Advisor of Kim Oanh Group, Honorary Chairman of Kim Oanh Charity Foundation said that this trip was quite long and experienced many different weathers that made everyone in the delegation tired, however, everyone was eager and warm to hand over meaningful gifts to relatives to celebrate the Lunar New Year happily.
“Kim Oanh Charity Foundation accompanying this trip brought 2,000 gifts of milk and envelopes with a total value of nearly 150 million VND. With more or less heart, we hope to contribute a small effort to share so that everyone can enjoy Tet. Volunteering is joining hands to bring compassion to everywhere, Kim Oanh Charity Foundation would like to thank you for the loving connection.
In Mang Den town, Kon Tum province, many ethnic minority relatives said they choked up when the economy failed, so this Lunar New Year did not have much money to buy anything.
Ms. Y Sao said, “This year, the family made rice poles that lost their crops, so life was very difficult. Tet is coming but I haven't bought anything yet. Now receiving gifts is very touching. I thank the sponsors and local authorities for helping people here ease their worries when Tet is near.”
Along with the same worries and emotions as other relatives when a delegation came to give gifts, Ms. Puih (Dak Troi commune, Gia Lai) could not hide her joy expressed: “I received gifts and bought rice, spices and some sweets for my family to prepare for Tet. The gift is very meaningful to the family during Tet. This Tet, We will celebrate Tet more happily,” Puih said excitedly.
It is known that Kim Oanh Charity Foundation is also implementing a program to give Lunar New Year gifts to poor relatives, policy families, pediatric patients, patients in the provinces and cities of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City with a total budget of VND 2 billion.
