Kim Oanh Group: reaching out internationally

The One World, also known as the Hoa Lan project, covers nearly 50 hectares in Binh Duong province, with a total investment of more than $1 billion.

The One World project involves four prestigious Japanese corporations

The project is strategically located amid main roads including Binh Duong avenue, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, and Beltway 3 in Thuan An city.

The project is envisioned as the “all-in-one” complex with a view to creating a living space of international quality, close to nature and culturally harmonious.

According to the agreement, Kim Oanh Group will hold a 51 per cent stake in the project, while the three Japanese partners of Sumitomo Forestry, Kumagai Gumi, and NTT Urban Development will hold the rest. Additionally, AEON Vietnam will develop and manage a large-scale, high-end shopping mall within The One World urban area.

The project will roll out flagship products to the market, ranging from shophouses to terraced houses, compound villas, and apartments, among others. It also features a slew of high-class amenities for education, entertainment, shopping, healthcare, sports, and coworking spaces. The project is divided into six components, of which construction will begin on key amenities, such as the conference-exhibition centre, AEON shopping centre, 5-star hotel, and international schools.

Sumitomo Forestry is an international firm with a history dating back to before the 1700s across a broad range of fields, including resource management, environmental initiatives, timber and construction materials, real estate development, housing, construction, and social welfare. Sumitomo Forestry has so far achieved significant success with numerous business ventures in Vietnam.

Kumagai Gumi is one of the top construction corporations in Japan, with over 125 years of experience in the construction industry. The company has constructed several renowned skyscrapers, including buildings that have become world landmarks. Its Taipei 101 project was the tallest building in the world in 2024 and has become a symbol of the city.

Additionally, Kumagai Gumi has implemented numerous infrastructure projects, including subway systems, dams, roads, and tunnels across markets such as the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, and China.

NTT Group, also known as Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, is one of the world’s leading telecommunications corporations. NTT Urban Development is responsible for NTT Group’s urban development businesses. The company promises to bring cutting-edge technologies into real estate projects, from smart infrastructure to advanced digital services, thereby creating a convenient and modern living space for customers.

Vo Van Minh, Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Committee, said The One World project, approved for investment by the province in January, is poised to become a highlight urban area in Binh Duong, forming a model residential area where residents can gain access to a full range of high-quality amenities and services.

“We believe that with the extensive experience and potential of Kim Oanh Group and reputable Japanese investors, the project will ensure progress, quality, techniques, and aesthetics, contributing to transforming the facade and landscape of Thuan An and the southern urban area of Binh Duong in general. The provincial authority is committed to accompanying, supporting, and creating the best conditions within the legal framework throughout the process of developing, constructing, and operating the project,” Minh said.

At the signing ceremony held at Sumitomo Forestry’s headquarters in Japan in May, representatives of Japanese corporations shared the process of careful consideration to reach an agreement on cooperation with Kim Oanh Group to develop the project. The parties also exchanged information and clearly identified the opportunities and challenges in co-developing the project in the current market context.

In particular, all corporations are committed to channeling their best resources to jointly seek solutions and apply advanced technologies to transform The One World into a liveable model urban area in Binh Duong.

With strong partners and careful preparation, Dang Thi Kim Oanh is confident that The One World will create a buzz in the real estate market once completed.

“Kim Oanh Group owns land of over 500 ha in many prime locations, and the group is determined to develop large urban areas in line with international standards,” Oanh explained. “To facilitate the goal, we have recently sought potential partners and cooperated with many international groups.
