According to the aforementioned project, Thuan An City is identified as a key service-industrial city of Binh Duong province and plays an important traffic hub connecting with Ho Chi Minh City.<\/span><\/p>\n

To enhance the connectivity between Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City, Thuan An City plans to build three more bridges on the Saigon River. In addition to the existing Phu Long Bridge, Binh Send Bridge on Ring Road 3 through Cu Chi district, Thuan An city will add a bridge on Tau bridge road (Hung Dinh ward) connecting to Hoc Mon district; Vinh Phu bridge (VP09 road) connects to District 12, restoring Lai Thieu iron bridge into a landscape architecture bridge.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the period of 2022-2025, Binh Duong is expected to invest about VND 6,000 billion to upgrade the infrastructure of Thuan An City. The internal traffic system for Thu Khoa Huan, Independence, Do Do, Nguyen Trai, Nguyen Van Triet roads will also be upgraded and renovated with a width of 32-54m. In addition, Thuan An City is also planned to add a number of roads parallel to the main urban roads such as Binh Duong Avenue, My Phuoc – Tan Van Street and DT 743A, DT 743B with a width of 22-30m.<\/span><\/p>\n

The most prominent is the project to expand National Highway 13 – Binh Duong Avenue to 8 lanes with a total cost of more than VND 1,400 billion. This is not only an important transport route, connecting Binh Duong with Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast but also the leading financial, trade and service axis of Thuan An City as well as Binh Duong province.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the above projects are completed, they will form a complete and modern transportation network, creating momentum for Thuan An City to develop in the direction of trade – services – industry. In particular, Thuan An urban area is oriented to develop according to the TOD (Transit Oriented Development) model, taking the development orientation of the public transport system as the basis for urban development planning. Therefore, the promotion of infrastructure development also creates conditions for increasing population density, which is a lever to help Thuan An City “change its skin”, soon complete the sustainable development goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, Thuan An City is a class III urban area.
